Meet the 2SG Team
2SG’s dynamic team includes Steve Buttram, a seasoned Sales Director, Jana Fowler, Inside Sales and Operations Manager, and Brent Fowler, the company’s President. With extensive telecom experience, they bring valuable insights and dedication to achieving customer goals.
Brent Fowler
Brent serves as President of 2SG and has been with the company since 2014. He continues the legacy established in 1997 by Butch Roberson following Butch’s retirement in 2022 after more than 50 years in the CATV/broadband industry. Brent works with customers in The Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida based out of Aiken, SC.
Brent has worked in the technology and telecommunications space for more than 30 years. He began working as a Cable Contractor in the Atlanta, GA area. After working in a Public Relations and Communications role at Hill & Knowlton Public Relations, he then worked in various roles at Bellsouth including at the company’s Headquarters until SBC purchased BellSouth to create the new AT&T. Brent then worked with IBM in roles including Internet Security, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Infrastructure Services, and Integrated Communications Services until 2014 when he joined 2SG. While at BellSouth, Brent looked forward to managing the BellSouth Classic Media Center during the BellSouth Classic PGA Tour golf event each year. He was also cross-trained as a DSL technician should the company have needed that skillset in the event of a workforce strike or other necessitating circumstances.
Brent enjoys fishing and boating, guitars, music, online gaming, and golf. Brent and Jana are high school sweethearts who have been married since 1997. They have two grown daughters and one fur baby.

Jana Fowler
Jana Fowler is a vital asset to 2SG providing support to the entire 2SG sales team as Inside Sales and Operations Manager. She is also an extremely valuable resource to 2SG’s client manufacturers and end-user customers alike.
Jana began her career in the telecom field in 1995 at MinTel Communications, which provided Engineering and Installation support for BellSouth throughout the Southeast. She worked closely with the engineers in implementing central office upgrades within the BellSouth footprint. Jana then transitioned into inside sales at GTE Supply, supporting an outside sales team and customers throughout the Northeast. She later continued in her sales role at Communications Supply and learned hands-on product and inventory management. She is an active member in her community and has served in numerous volunteer leadership positions.
Jana values strategizing with and helping customers to achieve their goals and accomplishments. She is a key component in engaging Business Partners and Contractors and has driven sales and success in this space. Her open and “always here for you” personality is greatly appreciated by all customers.

Steve Buttram
Steve Buttram is the Sales Director for Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee and his journey with 2SG began in 2020. Steve’s 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry is greatly valued by customers and clients alike as well as his uncanny wit and rapport.
Steve previously worked for MSO’s including NewWave Communications and Time Warner Cable. More recently before joining 2SG Steve continued to help clients with technology solutions throughout the Southeast as part of Destiny Solutions.
Steve serves as President-Elect/Vice President of the Kentucky Bluegrass SCTE Chapter.
Steve and his wife, Tracy, live north of Nashville with their children and two fur babies. Steve enjoys golf, college football, and fishing.
